The BioHart vision

These days, corporate social responsibility issues throw up endless problems.

In an era when everyone is searching for improvements that will protect man and nature, BioHart is well ahead when it comes to solutions in the field of sustainable (100% compostable) plastics. And by 2014, BioHart intends lead the way in the European bioplastics market.

Most of today’s plastic products are not (yet) made from bioplastic. They are instead made from polystyrene, of which petroleum is the main ingredient. But global supplies of petroleum will one day run out. The stock is currently dropping by 1,000 barrels per second. Benzene and styrene are dangerous by-products of the petroleum production process, and the waste generated from this process has created an environmental crisis of global proportions.

Among the most promising, hopeful and successful solutions to the catastrophe caused by the mountains of waste are the so-called ‘bioplastics’, based on polymer products: an ecologically responsible material that disintegrates fully, safely and biologically.

BioHart is offering an internationally revolutionary replacement for plastics!

Our aim is to redefine the constitution of plastic on all fronts and across the world. We want to lead the revolution in biologically-sound technology at every level.
Up until now, there have been numerous good initiatives aimed at reducing the burden that plastic is placing on the environment. All plastic packaging is now recyclable and the government is encouraging you to sort your waste. After collection, these plastics are melted and used as a raw material for more recycled plastic, or they are burned and the heat is used to generate power. Unfortunately, a vast amount of the total plastic waste is not sorted from the regular household waste, and the recycling process itself puts a huge burden on the environment.

BioHart develops polyesters that can help to overcome the damaging effects of conventional plastic. All BioHart products are manufactured using environmentally-friendly, renewable raw materials, such as maize. The packaging is 100% compostable, and can simply be deposited in organic waste containers.
